COAAA
College of Architecture Alumni Association
The Friends & Alumni Association of the College of Architecture, named the College of Architecture Alumni Association or COAAA, is organized to promote relationships for the college and its faculty, students and alumni to encourage the pursuit of excellence within the school and among the practitioners in the profession.
Objectives
- Develop a continuing interest in the school from its graduates and former students
- Encourage students through incentive programs such as awards and scholarships
- Promote an interest in the school among high school students
- Create an awareness of financial needs of the school
Alumni Banquet
The COAAA helps to host an annual banquet featuring the Distinguished Alumni Awards and outstanding faculty award, nominated by COAAA members and voted on by the Award Selection Committee. In addition, the club recognizes excellence in teaching and research by presenting the College of Architecture Teaching and Research awards, selected by the Award Selection Committee of the College of Architecture. Executives Officers will be elected annually by the membership.
Magazine
The organization publishes an annual magazine for the College Alumni publication. The COAAA also sponsors new graduate receptions in the spring as a part of the college’s convocation ceremonies.
